Golden Touch Festival 2021 – Line Up Announcement

After what has been a tough 12 months all round with the backdrop of Covid 19, there appears now to be some light at the end of the tunnel. The last few weeks have seen a flurry of gig announcements and Southsea’s very own Golden Touch Festival has announced that it will be back for their second instalment!

Golden Touch Festival will take place on the 4th of September 2021 at The Wedgewood Rooms, which will see the day festival split between the main room and the Edge Of The Wedge. The festival first took place in 2019 and had to be cancelled last year for obvious reasons.

Crystal Tides and Bang Bang Romeo have been announced as joint headliners which will see them be supported by the likes of St Peter’s Dream, The Royston Club, Casey Lowry, Flowvers, The Pretty Visitors and Birmingham’s finest, The Clause.

You may be familiar with the sounds of Crystal Tides as their most recent release, Courtney Love, received airplay on Virgin Radio UK and Radio X as well as being featured on the Best New Bands playlist on Spotify.

I managed to catch up briefly with Billy Fitzjohn of Fitz Promotions who runs the festival; “I’m very pleased to be able to bring the festival back in September and more importantly be able to support such an incredible venue in The Wedgewood Rooms and also the local community. It’s been a tough time for everyone in our own ways this last year and it will be great that we can all gather again to enjoy live music. We’ll be working with The Wedgewood Rooms to ensure that the festival will be run in the safest way possible and will be Covid secure.”

The anticipation and support for Golden Touch Festival have seen early bird tickets already sell out! General sale tickets are currently on sale and can be bought from The Wedgewood Rooms using the following link. I’ve been reliably informed that the tickets are already beginning to run low so get in there quick and show some support for this local, homegrown festival!
