Laurel Releases ‘Crave’ and ‘Same Mistakes’

In the build up to the release of her album ‘Dogviolet’ next month, Laurel has recently released two more tracks, ‘Crave’ and ‘Same Mistakes.’ These two new tracks follow lead single ‘Lovesick’ and further showcase the sublime vocals and raw guitars of the evocative and effortless 12 track LP.

The two new singles reveal the stylistic range of the new album, with the gritty, driving blues of ‘Same Mistakes’ in contrast to the cinematic and soaring ‘Crave’. First single ‘Lovesick’ set the tone for the album, with open, sparse production revealing Laurel’s effortlessly emotive voice and the vintage warmth of her guitar playing.

Recorded without glossing over the imperfections and driven by her personal lyrics and stirring melodies, every track on the album was written and recorded in Laurel’s home studio. It was then taken to Gizzard Studios in London to be fed back through a reel-to-reel tape recorder, re-capturing the organic tone that is prevalent within her breathtaking live shows.

Already receiving support from Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, Apple Music, Spotify, The Guardian, Wonderland and I-D Magazine, as well as partnerships with Burberry, Ellesse, Levis and Vans, ‘Dogviolet’ follows Laurel’s incredible ‘Park’ EP and her captivating Spotify Live EP, released in 2017.

Laurel will be returning to the south coast as part of her Dogviolet European tour. Her homecoming show will be at The Wedgewood Rooms on September 30th or you will be able to see her at The Hope & Ruin in nearby Brighton the following night.
