The Whiskey Affair continues its nationwide tour in Portsmouth on Saturday 17th June. Coming on the back of their hugely successful Brighton, Guildford, Reading and Southampton events. With the event split into four sections – scotch, bourbon, whiskey and whiskey cocktails – there’s something for all levels of knowledge too.

The Whiskey Affair is a festival that started in London late 2015, aimed at every level of knowledge for whisky aficionados and beginners alike. I was initially confused as I’d always believed that whisky was spelt without an e. I’ve since learnt that as a general rule ‘whisky’ refers to Scottish products and ‘whiskey’ refers to worldwide brands.

The event takes place at Portsmouth Guildhall, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, PO1 2AB from 1 pm to 5 pm for the afternoon session, and 7 pm to 11 pm for the evening session. Tickets are £8 each and available online now.
