Amongst the big brands of Levi’s, Carhartt, Nike SB, Polar and Thrasher, the Bored of Southsea label has been one of their consistently big sellers. The Southsea Bronx sunshine has become a bit of an icon within the city. The team behind Bored have just put out some cracking new original designs as well as some new colourways in other classics.
My personal favourite is the Gentleman’s Club T-Shirt which available in a Black short sleeve and long sleeve options. The tee features a crescent moon motif on the left breast and exotic dancer design on the back, both of which are in a neon sign styling.
Completing the trio of new designs is the ‘Blinding Tee‘ in white and the hoodie in heather grey, which features a four colour chest print logo. Bored explain that “This one pays homage to the skateboard company started by Mark Gonzales in 1989 that led the way for so many that have followed with funny, controversial, cool board graphics and magazine adverts, let alone the groundbreaking skateboarding. They were also responsible for making Video Days with Spike Jonze, which is widely regarded as one the most important, not to mention most rad skate videos of all time. Featuring such legendary skaters as Jason Lee, Guy Mariano, Rudy Johnson and Jordan Richter, as well as Mark Gonzales at his pinnacle.”
