Local design studio Ilovedust has recently partnered up with Red Bull in celebration of Street Fighter’s 30th Anniversary. The classic beat’em up is still much loved by gamers young and old. I can still clearly remember getting together with pals to squeeze in a few bouts before and after school. I think my PlayStation 3 is tucked away somewhere gathering dust, but after seeing these designs it makes me want to dig it out and make some time to reacquaint myself with the game.
The special edition Street Fighter cans of the energy drink are decorated with the likenesses of Chun-Li, Guile, Ken, Ryu, and Zangief. As well as the cans, ilovedust has created 16 awesome character designs to feature on packaging, bespoke display units, sticker sets and even a unique arcade machine forming part of the extensive in-store displays.
The cans feature not only Street Fighter V character art, but each will have codes under the tab that can be redeemed for in-game content (such as Red Bull skins) on the PlayStation 4 version of the game. A scan-to-unlock Snapcode on the can will reveal unique Street Fighter filters tied to the specific character on the can, with one can unlocking an interactive lens. You can redeem multiple codes, and they will be valid to redeem until next April.
The cans will be available in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, Spain, Germany, and Italy, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for these cans in those regions next month. Head over to Red Bull’s Street Fighter page for more info as it arises.
