Lost in time: Life in a 17th Century Village at Portsmouth Museum

This Sunday (23rd July) at Portsmouth City Museum travel back in time to the year 1642 and meet residents of Little Woodham village. Join re-enactors from Gosport Living History Society and find out how ordinary people lived on the eve of the English Civil War. Hear their stories and watch demonstrations and try your hand at the timeline, handle real archaeological artefacts and play 17th century games. Also you can meet the Hampshire Finds Liaison Officer to find out more about the Portable antiquities scheme (2pm – 4.30pm).

The event is free and perfect for the family.
