Footprint is a Portsmouth-based environmental board game, designed and developed by local game creator Owen Devine. Footprint sees you taking on the challenge of cutting your ecological footprint down to zero before the clock runs out. It isn’t easy – the only way to meet the deadline is to choose your investments in new technologies wisely. Whether it’s a new train network, fields of solar panels, or even humble vegetarian food – they all have their part to play in getting your pollution down to zero. The final twist? Just like real life, no one can win without taking everyone else with them.
On 21st April from 7pm at Le Cafe Parisien the night will start with a short introduction from Owen Devine about why and how he put Footprint together. There will then be an opportunity for people to take on the sustainability challenge and play the game. Alongside this, there will be acoustic folk music kindly provided by international touring artist Chris Ricketts. The cafe will be open for tea, coffee, wine, beer and cakes.
We stock Footprint at Strong Island Clothing Co store at 12 Highland Road in Southsea, if you want to pick up the game and play at home.
