Infamous for the stage packed full of guitar pedals when they play, Portsmouth band Battery Hens have released a new EP through Champagne Justice, the handsome & talented Southsea DJ and promoter duo who now have expanded to be a record label too. The EP was released on CD for the recent Record Store Day in limited numbers and will be released digitally on the 19th May.

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Battery Hens play on a few of the Strong Island Recordings nights and are stoked that their heavy, grunge x shoegaze sound is being released by the awesome Champagne Justice. The local music scene is crushing it at the moment, get involved by coming along to one of the many nights hosted by local venues and pick up these releases by local labels, released with the true DIY spirit where every penny made goes directly to backing local bands, artists, promotors and labels, all in it for the love.
