Most Wanted is a Street Dance School founded in 2007 by Carly-Ann Purcell and supported by Portsmouth University. The aim was to provide affordable but high quality Street Dance training to the local community. Most Wanted are very involved with Portsmouth Dance Academy (PDA).
Carly-Ann also set up PDA in 2008. It’s an organisation that employes professional dancers primarily from London that are elite in the current Street Dance industry to teach at PDA. Carly-Ann wanted local dancers who aspire to be professional Street Dancers, teachers or just dance for fun or fitness to be able to do this via training with Most Wanted and or PDA.
You may have seen Most wanted performing during the evening concert for the Olympic Torch Relay, Love Southsea Show, Winchester Hat Fayre, The Boat Project at Gunwharf Quays, Impact on Stage at Kings Theatre and Victorious Vintage.
Last year Most Wanted were selected from over 200 Street Dance Crews from around the UK to appear on CBBC’s ‘Alesha’s Street Dance Stars 2011’, and were also selected this year, the show will be aired late August. Most Wanted will also be auditioning for Sky 1’s ‘Got To Dance’ this August.
