Ska Night – Live At Fratton Park

Ska Night – Live At Fratton Park

Jake Payne was one of the founding members of the Pompey Supporters’ Trust and is usually better known for hosting the Pompey Legends dinner parties and stadium tours than promoting gigs.  However the call to get involved and support the club was too strong and he contacted Play Up Pompey Music and offered to help out by putting on a show at Fratton Park.

Legendary local ska band The Racketeers are headlining the event sponsored by Nevada Music and joined by Offbeat Offensive, The Silhouettes and Skaraman who will also be selling a CD of their specially re-written song ‘Uprising” on the night to help raise funds.

And if you can’t make it to Fratton park there is also a mod night on at the Cellars in Eastney as part of the same cause.

Play Up Pompey Music is a joint venture between the city’s stars of music and comedy, promoters, venue/pub owners and the Pompey Supporters’ Trust.

Their mission is to raise money and galvanise support for a community-owned Portsmouth Football Club by holding a festival of events all over the city and surrounding areas during the summer of 2013.

There are still a few tickets left and are available from Fratton Park at £10.  PUP!
