The In Rust We Trust exhibition is only a little over a week away (opening on the Thursday 14th at the Gold Room, below Room 237) and is easily warming up to be the most anticipated local exhibition in ages. The exhibition brings together three local artists My Dog Sighs, Los Dave & M-One with a study in the beauty of urban decay, you can read more about the details of the exhibition HERE. In advance of the opening Strong Island have been granted an exclusive sneak peek at some of the work that will be in the exhibition, see the photos below.
The exhibition itself has got people nationally and internationally talking with visitors booked in from as far afield as London, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bristol, Devon, New York and Paris. As well as the work on display being up for sale there will also be a limited collection of My Dog Sighs cans available to buy in person only. These cans are hugely popular as a recent online sale showed, with dozens of them being sold in a matter of seconds to buyers all over the world.
On top of all of this Rusty Sheriff will will be playing live on the night and has some incredible rusted instruments to create a soundscape to perfectly balance the walls plus Something Interesting have sponsored the event providing enough booze to keep everyone happy.
This is a must visit exhibition and opening night, you can find out more at the Facebook event HERE.
