Southsea Greenhouse celebrates ‘Year of the Co-operative’

Southsea Greenhouse are holding a FREE ‘Top Banana’ Market and Fun Day on Sunday (July 29th). Hosted by the Pyramids on Southsea’s seafront and sponsored by Co-operatives UK, the event will celebrate the Southsea Greenhouse’s first birthday as well as 2012, the Year of the Co-operative. If you grow your own veg, bring some to barter or sell at their first ever Pannier market on the Plaza in front of the swimming pool entrance from 11am til 4pm.

Joining Southsea Greenhouse are Top Banana, a community circus team who will be sharing their skills with visitors to the event. Get hands on with juggling and plate-spinning, and check out the crafters who have come from all over the city to sell their home-made produce.

Visitors will be able to browse the many Top Banana stalls featuring local producers and artists, including Southsea Greenhouse’s plants and produce, cupcakes & crafts… A White elephant tombola, Welly throwing, The Human Fruit machine, Hampshire Chutney, Furie Bell, & Edie’s Lemonade, Charmaine Florists, Mary’s Fairies, Eye Candy, Ooberla, Eco-op, Wendy Budd, herbalist, Jo Woodward therapist; United Savings, Sweetie Treaties’, Lisa & Gill & Jenni’s accessories, Friends of the Rock Gardens, Lyndon’s pebbles, Magpie glass, Diana Wren’s pottery, Sharon Justice, Silver jewellry, Julie’s Maverick dreams, new natural Hair Salon – Green Tea, Pegonu & the Pyramid’s team.
