Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust have a great series of activities, workshops and events for people to get involved with through out the summer and autumn, all part of their ongoing Milton’s Hidden Seashore project. The project aims to have people from Milton and all over Portsmouth discover and connect with the Wildlife Trust’s Milton Locks Nature Reserve and the beautiful shoreline on to Langstone Harbour. This is an area we have a close affinity for and often run photography walkshops there too, it is something special.
All of these different activates cover all different ages and are all fun and engaging:
Milton’s Hidden Seashore Summer Art Events
Help celebrate the wonderful nature reserve by getting creative. You are invited to come along and paint, draw and photograph Milton Locks Nature Reserve. These two art workshops will be followed by an outdoor exhibition of the work created.
Dates are 28th July & 3rd August, with the exhibition on the 4th August.
Friends of Milton Locks Celebration Event
Are you interested in becoming a friend of Milton Locks Nature Reserve? Drop in and meet the project team between 10am and 2pm to find out more and celebrate this peaceful place in the busy city of Portsmouth.
Friday 25th August, 10am to 2pm.
Milton Locks Wildlife Tots
Come and play at the sessions of outdoor stories and activities for pre-school children. 10:30am to 12pm, booking is essential and a donation of £4 per child is suggested.
Dates are 29th June, 7th September, 12th October and 16th November.
