On Saturday the 24th June from 1:30pm to 5:30pm join Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust over at Milton Village Hall for a free event to celebrate our beautiful swifts and understand what we can all do to help them. These iconic birds have drastically declined as a breeding species – but Portsmouth is a known hotspot for them as they nest and breed over the summer.

Renowned swift expert Edward Mayer will speak and share his experiences of helping these brilliant birds. There’ll also be activities for all the family and exhibits of Swift nesting boxes, call systems, books, leaflets, and many other items of interest.

There is a coffee shop available for refreshments.

This event is in partnership with the Portsmouth local RSPB Group and Hampshire Swifts.
