ETCH
Zak Brashill aka Etch, discovered dance music after delving into a dusty stack of records left to him by his emigrating Uncle. The visceral sound of Jungle and early Drum and Bass grabbed his attention immediately opening his ears to a world of UK dance music still so vital to electronic music as a whole today. It is his ability to absorb and deconstruct these genres that has lead Etch’s productions to an almost enviable level of variety. Whilst very clearly referencing those old Jungle and Drum and Bass records, each of his tracks can trace the historical lineage of UK dance music of the last 20 years, taking a variety of aspects from Garage, Grime and Dubstep along the way.
