The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) at the University of Portsmouth are looking for CCI students to take part in their annual student design competition in the run up to next year’s Graduate Show. Students studying any creative course will have an opportunity to demonstrate their design skills and the winner will visit a professional design studio as well as be rewarded with £250.
You are invited to design an innovative brand and eye-catching identity for the marketing materials for the CCI Graduate Show 2017. The annual show attracts more than two thousand visitors to Eldon Building and many more visitors online. The CCI Graduate Show is one of the most important large scale events in the Faculty’s academic calendar and will give you an opportunity to let your creative practice shine.
The Faculty are seeking a high quality design that can communicate the creativity and aims of the Graduate Show 2017, sending a message across different print and digital media. Your design will be required for a card invite, portrait poster and PDF for email, additionally a motif/element from your design will be required for visual communication on building signage, a map, ‘show guide’ t-shirts, the graduate show website and CCI TV.

Any student studying any subject in the CCI Faculty at the University of Portsmouth is eligible to enter the competition. Joint or small group applications for a single entry will be accepted (n.b. prize money will be shared).

Submit your final design by Midnight, Monday, 6th March 2017, to include all elements described in ‘Submission Requirements’ below, attached to an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

The judges will be looking for originality and excellence. Your design must communicate the Faculty Graduate Show 2017 in a simple and dynamic way to student families, local communities, plus new audiences and existing partners in the creative industries. Your creative ideas must show a clear theme and include all aspects described in the ‘Submission Requirements’ above. Your design should be a quality visual communication that distils the essence of what it is to graduate.
