A few years ago we worked with My Dog Sighs and Head Hairdressing on the first Head Jam, a street art event on Albert Road (watch the video HERE). One of the artists that hit up the walls was Peterborough urban artist Korp (Kaine Kulczak), who caught a lot of attention for his highly detailed stencil work, one piece had 9 panels, each with three stencil layers each. Everyone also loved his ‘worms’ pieces too. We’re stoked to hear that Korp is back in Southsea for his debut solo show at Play Dead, opening Saturday, from 7pm to 9pm.
The exhibition (with the now traditional wall mural outside) will feature work from the darker side of Korp including the familiar korpworm and the new dour blackworm. Also on show will be unseen original artwork and there will be limited edition prints, t-shirts, stickers and badges. Opening night is on the 11th June with goodie bags for the first people through the door.
Play Dead tattoo artist Samo will also be doing one-off limited edition Korp tattoos for the duration of his solo show, with bookings beginning on Saturday, first come first served. To book, hit up Samo on email at: Samo.tattoos@gmail.com
