Friend of Strong Island Aled Lewis is no stranger to the United States and since early last year he’s been following the rise of Bernie Sanders as he strives to become the Democratic candidate in the forthcoming elections.
Funded almost exclusively by over 3.5 million individual contributions of around $30 each by members of the public, Bernie has kept up with the Clinton fund-raising freight-train.
Aled describes the even though he is a Brit “Bernie Sanders is leading a robust, honest counter-corporate movement that would have implications around the world. A politician not co-opted by or beholden to special interests because he will not take money from them. Something that most thought impossible to avoid when running for office, let alone the office of President.”
“I have been inspired by the spirit of Bernie’s message and by the unity and energy of the grassroots movement that is propelling his insurgent campaign. I wanted to make a poster that captured and celebrated this moment in time and I’m delighted that it’s been broadly adopted by the grassroots supporters and utilised by the official campaign.”
In support of his cause Aled has produced a five colour limited edition 24” x 18” print. Prints are unframed. Any money raised through sales will go to help fund Bernie’s campaign. Find out more at www.aledlewis.com/portfolio/not-me-us. #FeelTheBurn
