Today we are seriously stoked to officially announce that Arrows of Love are working with Strong Island Recordings on the label’s first release. Arrows of Love are a five piece from London who have in the last year been heavily on the road and heavily shaking up venues and audiences with their raw, wound up tight, blisteringly primal sound. The band’s most recent single had made some serious noise both on stage and in the press including Single of the Month in Artrocker Magazine and also:
“An epileptic fit set to music, it’s wild-eyed and feral, raw and unpolished and all the better for it.” Music Week
”Tattered, erratic, and modest, it’s the stuff of classic rock legend.” The Independent
“Impressive…..Punk infused white noise collides with Barrettesque schizophrenia” Drowned In Sound
Arrows of Love were co-headliners of our Drunken Sailor stage at Southsea Fest this year and, by the sounds of it, may well have been one of the bands to see at the festival. The stage was one in one out long before they even got out of the van and by the time they finished the room was a dark, sweaty wolf pit with crowd surfing up on the ceiling, the audience enveloping the band and their instruments and ended with savaged eardrums, smiles and a sense of seeing something dark, compulsive and special.
We’ll be announcing the details of the song, the digital, CD and very limited edition 7″ release dates and artwork plus details of both London and Southsea launch parties very soon. For now, if you missed them or if you want to experience them again, catch Arrows of Love playing Drunken Sailor at Southsea fest with ‘Illusionist’ below.
