Southsea Skateparks’s King of Southsea BMX competition brings some of the very best riders from around the UK and Europe together in Southsea and this year’s competition with it’s many different events showed it keeps on growing from strength to strength. The day included comps such as flatland, spine, vert ramp & street and also included some fun and interesting events like highest bunnyhop, best tricks (including the keyhole – an event going back decades) plus a veteran event too where local rider Isaac’s Dad entered and won.
On the Sunday the king was announced to be Declan Brooks who smashed it winning first place in pro vert, pro street, pro spine, best trick plaza & even came first in novice flatland. Serious all round skills.
Mark Webb crowns Declan Brooks, the 2012 King of Southsea.
