Pet Sounds Weekly Playlist – The Eighties were far from all s**t

The Eighties has long been the whipping boy for music lovers, but it’s also been the perfect decade for people to find exceptions to the rule. I think the safest way to look at it is to bear in mind the social-economic climate changes, it was an industrious period, which meant people capitalised on what was there for the taking. In the same way that the flower generation used their period of youth to ‘rebel’ against society, the Eighties generation celebrated fast living and the high life. It made for some pretty good tunes, and after all, isn’t that why you’re reading this? Sorry, I wont make a habit of talking about things I don’t really understand.

Also, before everyone goes absolutely mental, this is a taster, there will be more volumes from the Eighties, always leave them wanting more eh? Last note, check out Talk Talk more, they are amazing, this is by no means their best tune, buy Spirit Of Eden, something else man. That said grab the Pet Sounds playlist HERE and check out all the past playlists HERE.
