The committee and members of Solent Camera Club would like to invite you to the launch of their new photography exhibition “Island Light: Solent Camera Club takes a new look at Portsmouth”. This exhibition features a variety of photographs taken by club members in and around the city of Portsmouth. Some will be familiar scenes, others show the city in a new light or from an unfamiliar perspective, reflecting the variety of styles and interests of club members.

The exhibition is at The Kitsch’n D’or Restaurant, 37 Eldon Street, Southsea PO5 4BS (in the wine bar, to the rear of the dining area). Tel: 023 9286 1519.

On the opening night, a pay bar and a small, free buffet will be available. Please enter by the wine bar entrance which is further up Eldon Street, rather than the main restaurant entrance on the corner of the building. RSVP not required.

The exhibition will run from Friday 15th October – Sunday 7th November 2010 inclusive. Admission is free and the exhibition can be viewed during normal restaurant opening hours.

Solent Camera Club meets at Southsea Community Centre, Portsmouth, on Fridays at 7.45pm (September to May). The club’s weekly meetings cover most aspects of photography, with friendly competitions, practical sessions and illustrated talks, which together provide inspiration and new skills.
