A networking meeting for practising and aspiring screenwriters in Portsmouth will take place at the Arts Lodge in Victoria Park on Wednesday 22nd April from 7:30pm to 9pm.

Organised by DV City Screenwriters Group, there will be a licensed bar and a café selling tea & coffee to refresh you. An opportunity to meet, network and share with other writers, and to give your views on the possibility of starting a screenwriters network in Portsmouth. Hopefully there will also be news about on the outcome of a recent application to Screen South to help fund workshops and a writers group in the Portsmouth area.

“We plan to lead a discussion on what you would ideally like to see in place to support your current writing and your development as writers in this city, and how these resources could be delivered and financed by the writing community ourselves. This feedback will be really valuable whether or not the application to Screen South proves successful. It will either inform the way in which the funding is spent so as to be most beneficial to you, or feed into the creation of new initiatives.”
