The First Strong Island Photography Social

YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO THE VERY FIRST STRONG ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY SOCIAL!

Since I became involved in Strong Island I have been fortunate enough to make a lot of good friends within the photography community in Portsmouth and Southsea. Many I consider close friends, while others I wouldn’t know what they look like if they were stood in front of me but we often communicate and interact on social media. It is about time that this changed!

After attending the Southsea Ale Club’s last meeting at Hunter Gatherer earlier this month I was inspired to organise a similar event for local photographers. This isn’t going to be anything formal, just a get-together, to have a beer, to put faces to names and maybe chat about photography if you want. This is an open invitation to everyone with a shared interest in photography, irrespective of ability, experience or equipment.

Our friends at The Merchant House have kindly donated their basement for us to take over from 7:30 pm until close. It’d be great if you can pop in even if it is just for the one. I am informed that this is also Strong Island co-founder Paul Gonella’s birthday!
