Go Skateboarding Day is internationally celebrated on the longest day of the year (this year it is Saturday 21st) and is a great excuse for skateboarders young and old to get out and go skate. In cities all around the World there will be events bringing people together and Portsmouth is no different with Southsea Skatepark offering for the very first time a completely free, skateboarding only session from 3pm to 6pm. The park has recently had lots of additions (new driveway/hips, flat bar, etc.) and this is a great opportunity for skaters of all ages and abilities to come and have fun at the legendary skatepark.
If you haven’t skateboarded before but would like to give it a go the skatepark also has some boards you can hire for the session for a small fee. As always a helmet is required to skate the park but these can also be hired for a very small fee too.
