The New Theatre Royal invites you to come and make your mark on this iconic theatre’s history by writing on their new Memories Wall from Friday 1st February. Whether you have visited the theatre as an audience member, performed on their stage or in any way have been or want to be involved, then come and Make Your Mark!

With the Memories wall you can sign your name or write or draw a memory of your time at the NTR to become part of their rich history. Not only will you become part of the theatre’s rich history, you will also be contributing to a fabulous collective piece of art that will be displayed in the refurbished theatre when it reopens in 2014.

Those who wish to make their mark can pop into the theatre Mon – Sat 10am – 2pm from Friday 1st February to sign the huge board in the foyer. But that’s not all – join the New Theatre Royal on Wednesday 20th February at 7:30pm as past performers come together for a free fabulous celebration of drama, song and dance. Happenings will take place all around the theatre – within the bars and secret corners of this beautiful heritage building. Guests will be treated like stars as they walk the red carpet with a glass of champagne and enter the theatre backstage, which will have been spectacularly transformed by local graffiti artist Fark and a team of young people. Fark’s work can be seen around Portsmouth and Southsea, including at Southsea’s popular Skate Park. The dressing rooms, currently ad hoc portacabins, will be destroyed later on in the evening to mark the beginning of NTR’s Capital rebuild!
