Portsmouth Creative Movement had themselves some great coverage in The News last week about the Hope Street hoardings. Look out for these guys, their working hard to enhance areas of the city that get ignored, as well as creating amazing individual and collaborative pieces of art. More to come very soon.

maybe its the job of PCM to educate people who ‘clearly know little’? That way we all learn.

Retracted. It was more about the intro really, using Banksy as a lead into the story.
To most people he’s the ONLY street artist out there, and we all know there’s a lot better work than Banksy out there, and the PCM are already educating with this article.
Awesome work.

Even I know he aint the only street artist out there. Only last night I witnessed a youth daub a wall with an image of a male member. Not a detailed rendering but anatomically correct nontheless.

As one of the artists involved I can vouch for the fact that several of us were deeply disappointed by the lazy journalism of the article, particularly the association with ‘Banksy’. We have received nothing but positive responses from passers-by over the last 3 weekends while we have been working. I strongly recommend a wander along both Pitt Street and Hope Street to see what all the fuss is about. These guys are not your average graffers and taggers.
