RAISING MONEY FOR CHARITY / THE SOUTH’S PREMIER VW, CLASSIC & CUSTOM CAR SHOW
Reincarnated from the original Beach Buggin’ event and now in it’s 2nd year, the immensely popular car show Beach Dubbin’ is back once again on Southsea Common with hundreds of vehicles on show and all manner of classic and custom attractions.
The whole show is free to walk around and take a close look at some of the finest examples of VW, Classic and Custom Cars in the UK. The main attraction is the ‘Show & Shine Competition’ where the best of the best will be on show and competing to win ‘Best In Show’ over various categories.
It’s not all cars though. There are plenty of market traders selling all manner of things from vintage furniture, bikes, rare toys, sought after car parts, and many other things of the same vein. You can also be treated to music, activities, shows and there is plenty to eat and drink on site. The whole site is family friendly and runs from 10am till 4pm.
We are always immensely thrilled to be able to hold such a unique event in our home town…
Beach Dubbin’ is a non for profit charity event, where 100% of profits go to local charities.
“We really wanted to try and bring something to the 2018 show for everyone. We had 50 traders who all made such an awesome effort with their displays and trade stands, a huge family area with face painting, chill out tent for parents and babies, dedicated children’s entertainment to keep the kids happy, live music between DJ sets and a variety of local street food caterers to keep everyone fed and watered.
Coupled with such an amazing variety of air cooled and water cooled VW’s, Buses, American, Hot Rods, Classic Minis, Scooters, and BMX bikes on display, the support for the show was just unbelievable.
You all helped in raising a massive £5,500 for charity – a very very big thank you. The money raised was split between Pompey in the Community, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and smaller local charities throughout the year.”
