Portsmouth Beer Festival 2016

Preview: Portsmouth Beer Festival – Christmas Sessions 2018

We are blessed with a thriving beer scene in Portsmouth, we have breweries such as Staggeringly Good, Southsea Brewing Co and Irving Brewery. Not to forget craft beer specialists The Wave Maiden, Croxtons, The Merchant House and I could go on. One of my favourite Christmas traditions is the Portsmouth Beer Festival when all of the above come together under one roof, The Portsmouth Guildhall.

The festival returns for its fifth year on Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd of December. A large variety of ales will appear to suit the season, but fear not there will still be a fine selection of the regular favourites to choose from. Group Bookings and Work Christmas Dos are encouraged and everyone is encouraged to throw on their finest Christmas Jumpers! Gin, Ciders, Mulled Ciders, Proseccos and pub games are all on offer with some of the tastiest street food from Need Street Food and O’Hagans BBQ.

This year sees the Thunder Foundation returning as the chosen charity supported by the beer festival. The association is a charity committed to improving the lives of homeless and disadvantaged children in Kenya, by providing friendship, healthcare support and an extensive range of educational service.

The live entertainment line-up consists of local favourites The Silver Beatles confirmed for the Saturday 22nd December evening session and Bog Rolling Stones on Friday 21st evening session, with many more top names on the bill.
