The University of PortsmouthFaculty of Creative and Cultural industries will be hosting a special screening of the film Spotlight on the 7th of March, in collaboration with the Portsmouth Film Society. Spotlight is an extraordinary film based on real events; a team of investigative journalists uncover a widespread historical child sexual abuse by priests in the Catholic Church.

PARCS run vital services and counselling for survivors in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. The PARCS elephant, which has become somewhat of a celebrity in the Portsmouth area, as a representation of ‘the elephant in the room’ will be making an appearance at the screening too.

The screening of Spotlight will take place in EW 1.11, at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 7th March.

This special event is open to staff, students, and members of the public, you can reserve your seat and check out the rest of the Winter Programme on the Portsmouth Film Society website. University of Portsmouth students are eligible for free entry.
