Earlier this month local Portsmouth fuzz fanatics Melt Dunes released their new single Grotesque, a raucous follow up to their previous number Flesh. Melt Dunes are whipping up a storm right now and are building a fierce reputation for their live performances. “But where can I see them?!” I hear you cry. Well, fear not, as they’ve got a show coming up very soon.
On October 29th, Melt Dunes are playing at Acapulco. Not only is this an excellent opportunity to subject yourself to some seriously good noise, they’re also supported by Skinny Milk and Number 9. Skinny Milk are a fantastic band that I was lucky enough to see at this year’s Icebreaker. Loud and fun, and certainly for fans of Thee Oh Sees, or Oh Sees nowadays and Number 9 will be laying a solid foundation of music heavily influenced by 60s pop and Psychedelia.
It’ll be loud, and noisy, and fun and it’s only £3 a ticket. What’s not to like? There will be psychedelic visuals and other fun things going on and entry is just a mere £3.00 in advance. The Facebook event can be found here and tickets can be purchased here.
