Are you interested in photography? Aged between 16 and 35 years? Consider yourself to have a disability, long term health condition, mental health condition or a learning disability? Yes? National charity Can Do would like to hear from you! Can Do Portsmouth have organised an exciting creative opportunity in partnership with Strong Island Media: a Photography Skills Training & Photo Walkshop on the 31st of August.
The session will be based in central Portsmouth and has been designed to allow participants to actively learn different photography skills and techniques out and about with a camera, with support from a professional photographer. We can supply a camera or you’re welcome to bring your own.
Can Do is a volunteering programme for disabled people aged 16-35, offering support, information and training. It is open to people with a long term health condition or disability, including physical, visual or hearing impairments, mental health conditions and learning disabilities like dyslexia and dyspraxia.
By encouraging young disabled people to volunteer we aim to grow confidence and independence to improve social, education and employment opportunities.
If you’d like to know more or register your interest please contact Catherine Burton – Can Do Programme Coordinator by EMAIL or by phone on 07710 385418.
Please note that spaces are limited, there is no fee attached to take part and the walkshop is fully accessible.
