All through the school holidays Aspex Gallery is running a Holiday Art Club for young people, offering these budding artists the chance to enjoy and experiment with a wide range of artistic techniques. All workshops are led by local artists and are inspired by the Aspex’s diverse exhibition programme. This year’s workshops focus upon Stephen Turner’s Exbury Egg, Victorious Festival and the Summer of Love!
This Thursday Strong Island Media will be running the first of the summer holiday Art Club days with a special Photography Walkshop around Gunwharf Quays, for young people looking to discover photography or improve their skills (aged 11 to 15). Expect to explore different corners of Gunwharf, looking at textures, architecture, new perspectives, long exposure photography and much, much more!
The workshop takes place on Thursday 3rd August from 10am to 3pm and costs just £18.00 per person. Lunch is also available from the Aspex cafe partners Lily & Lime LD for just £3.00 ( so £21.00 in total), or alternatively you can bring your own. You can book HERE. Any questions get in touch with Aspex’s Participation & Learning Manager Vicky Chapter on firstname.lastname@example.org or call +44 (0)23 9277 8080.
