Ghostpoet has just announced his return with a new track entitled “Immigrant Boogie” and details of a UK tour which includes shows on the south coast at Concorde 2 in Brighton on Wednesday 8th November the Wedgewood Rooms on Monday 13th November.
It is great news that Ghostpoet is back with his first new material in about two years. His previous offering was the Mercury Music Prize nominated album “Shedding Skin”.
The first track from the album is a poignant message during tense social times. He said “It’s a first person account of a difficult journey across borders, partly intended to ask those who have questioned the arrival of refugees in recent times what they would do in the same situation. There is an important story to be told there, but I wrote the song in a way that aims to capture a broader human truth: that while we are all working for a better life for ourselves, we have to accept that we are not in control of the outcome.”
