Morning Wood Co were founded in Australia in 2014, after volunteering in the outback in NSW. Their hosts at the time saw Ash’s natural talent and gave him all kinds of projects around the sheep station. The carpentry business continued with a move west and it became quite successful, so they decided to bring Morning Wood back to Southsea. This is also where Ash’s brother Rhys (a highly skilled carpenter) decided to quite his job to get involved too. They’ve been building nearly everyday ever since. 

Morning Wood Co strive to create unique and superbly hand crafted pieces with materials that are repurposed or re-cycled. Their ethos of eco-friendly furnishings is something they are quite proud of as they create a wide variety of items from chairs and tables to shelving and plant displays, as well as creating custom made designs for customers.

Morning Wood Co are keen to work together with other independent traders across Portsmouth and the surrounding area. South Coast Emporium currently stock a range of their products and they’re working on stock for a tent at upcoming markets.
