Tuesday 22nd March sees Drift, Southsea, play host to Rotterdam’s finest purveyors of psyched-out, post-punk sounds, Rats on Rafts. The latest album ‘Tape Hiss’ released in 2015 by Fire Records received rave reviews from the likes of The Quietus and Louder Than War and has seen them rewarded with prime-time airplay on 6 Music.

The Rats come with a fearsome live reputation, methodically creating dense fogs of chaotic guitar squall which they then hurtle through at breakneck velocity, delivering rapier like shocks of ice-pick guitar and banshee howls. The date at Drift forms part of a European tour which will pair them up with post-punk mega legends, and label mates, Pere Ubu when they hit London. In short, this gig is not one you want to miss.

The night comes courtesy of Trash Arts, who have pulled in local support from avant-noiseniks, Red Seals, power-poppers, The StayAwakes, and post-rock, shoegazers Submariner.
