101 Reykjavik will play host to Icelandic singer/songwriter Hafdís Huld on Thursday 23rd October. Huld was born in the Reykjavik, Iceland so this gig was destined to happen at some point.
Before embarking on a solo career Hafdís Huld was part of electro band Gus Gus and collaborating with London based siblings Jon and Dan Kahuna aka FC Kahuna. Her Solo album ‘Dirty Paper Cup’ was released in 2006 on MVine/Red Grape Records and won the award of best pop album at the Icelandic music awards. As well as being nominated for best video with “Tomoko”. This spring Huld released her third album ‘Home’.
