For many years the Hampshire Arts Trail has connected different arts and crafts studios together to create an open event inviting people to come and meet the artists, explore their studios and buy their work. Despite being successful across the county it has, in recent years, seemed to miss out on a lot of what Portsmouth can offer and this weekend sees our city’s very own art and craft trail, Created in Portsmouth.
Created in Portsmouth not only includes Portsmouth artists and crafters but importantly it is also created and run by them too, providing more of a focus on the studios contained within the city. Created in Portsmouth runs from today through to Sunday and includes a wide variety of studios across the city, see the list below and check createdinportsmouth.co.uk for more info or pick up a guide at various locations around the city or at one of the studios.
Some of the artists and makers you might be familiar with and some maybe not, this walk is a great reason to discover more about the creative people and artist practices in the city and we hope to see this event grow and grow each year.
