PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA'S No.1 for ARTS, CULTURE & LIFESTYLE

Created Local with Aaron McNeish

Aaron McNeish is a local photographer developing ideas with both analogue and digital, we particularly liked his redscale photos of some urban spots around the city and beyond. Redscale photos can be created in two ways, you can buy colour shifted rolls of film or you can also turn regular colour rolls of film the other way around and reload it in the canister (in a darkroom or changing bag) and the emulsion on the film is exposed with each photo ‘through’ the film itself, acting like a red filter. Aaron has also taken some beautiful lo-fi B&W photos too, layered with atmosphere.

Aaron is working on some photo projects at the moment which we’re looking to see the results from.

These are great as I love Southsea, and these images are exceptional, thanks for sharing/publishing.
