Portsmouth Supporters Dirty Little Rockstars are the record company who released the début EP, Stuck Between The Devil & The Blues In Drop C, for Portsmouth News’ Guide Award winners, Kill Kasper,
They are hosting a 2 stage event at The Wedgewood Rooms on tonight and have asked Kill Kasper to join local band of the moment Kassassin Street and popular friends Carmen Rosa & Paddy Taylor to host the main stage.
The Edge of The Wedge’s second stage features desert rock acts The Underground Pilots, Guide Award winning DJ Spikey Mark‘s band Stray Bullets Kill, Reading’s Red & The Black and Zenthetix who recently played at Blissfields Festival.
Pompey Manager Guy Whittingham is also hoping to be at the show to introduce the bands which will be followed by yet another Guide Award Winning DJ, Carl Lemon with It’s a Sin and Wolf Cub Club.
Play Up Pompey Music is a joint venture between the city’s stars of music and comedy, promoters, venue/pub owners and the Pompey Supporters’ Trust.
Their mission is to raise money and galvanise support for a community-owned Portsmouth Football Club by holding a festival of events all over the city and surrounding areas during the summer of 2013.
Throughout July the festival will become one of Portsmouth’s most unique community fundraising projects bringing a love of Pompey and music together across the whole city. There are 34 gigs in total.
