Blissfields Festival begins on 5th July at Vicarage Farm in Winchester. Portsmouth will be well represented at the festival with an eclectic mix of artists performing over the three days. In the build up to the festival we will be showcasing those artists involved.
Matt Jarvis is a singer songwriter from Southsea however the title of singer songwriter isn’t one that quite does Matt justice. You can hear for yourself with two tracks ‘Tripping On Youth’ and ‘Big Child. Man Child’ both available to listen to and download on mattjarvis.bandcamp.com.
You can see Matt playing the Blissfields Acoustic Stage on Thursday and Saturday night. When asked about being approached to play two slots Matt said “I genuinely cannot believe my luck. There’s so many good acts playing the Festival and I’m incredibly grateful to be among the Portsmouth musicians that have been asked to play this year. I’m playing in the ‘very late’ section of the acoustic line up on Saturday night/Sunday morning so I’m sure the crowd will be in good spirits”
If you are not lucky enough to be heading over to Blissfields then you can see Matt is also supporting Drew McConnell of Babyshambles on 5th July at the The Cellars, Eastney. Tickets are available on the website for £8 in advance (£9 on the door). Matt is also playing Victorious Festival this August at Portsmouth Dockyard.
