Silhouettes started in the summer of 2009 with brothers Mike and Steve Frost as an acoustic duo playing reggae and ska influenced tunes. They had a residency at the Wig and Pen pub playing every Friday night inviting some of the local bands to join in the night.

After the pub closed in 2011 they recruited bass player Brad ‘Garlic’ Bennett. In 2011 the Silhouettes played SouthseaFest to a packed out audience with people even watching through the windows and dancing in the street. The line up was completed after the band drafted drummer Joel Rickard and saxophonist Callum Thomas.

2012 was a busy year for the band playing over 50 shows last year including Victorious Vintage. With recording planned for this year the bands debut release is imminent so 2013 will be an exciting year for the Silhouettes.
