Portsmouth locals and friends of Strong Island Chloe Seddon and Phil Whiteman have produced an award winning series, The Vessel. The series follows Kim, Rory and Mike, as she helps them start a family.

The 10-part webseries follows Kim (Lily Brown) and her two best friends, Rory (Giovanni Bienne) and Mike (Phillip Whiteman), as they start a family. Rory and Mike are a gay couple who have decided they want to have a baby. With one vital component missing, they ask their close friend Kim to be “the tummy mummy.” Here is the “Conception” trailer for you to check out before the launch of episode 1. The series premieres October 21 at 8pm on www.thevesselseries.com.

You might notice some familiar faces with a cast that includes actors from Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and The Queen. The pilot won first prize at The Raindance Film Festival last year (UK’s version of Sundance).

Other Portsmouth locals involved are Longlive Cooperative’s Charlie Waddington and Thomas Easey who collaborated on the project creating the theme tune.
