‘Show Off’ is a collective of art work presented by the BA Fine Art (Hons) students of the school of Art, Design and Media at the University of Portsmouth.

This exhibition is the finale of the students three year degree which has encouraged each student to expand their creative boundaries to develop as an individual artist. The range of art work on display is composed using finely tuned practises both contemporary and traditional, which the students have nurtured over the course of their degree.

The name ‘Show Off’ was chosen by the students as this exhibition is the last BA Fine Art (Hons) show at the University of Portsmouth before the new course; Contemporary Fine Art takes centre stage.

The three years of dedication and practise of these students has resulted in a unique formula of creative techniques and skill which tackle contemporary subjects and issues.

Held in the very studio where the students have accomplished their artistic development, The Eldon building on Winston Churchill Avenue. The private view will be held on the 1st June from 5pm until 8pm, the exhibition will be open for public view from 6th June until 13th June 2012, 10am to 4pm (excluding weekends).
