Fresh off the press! A mere twenty minutes ago the two rear sections of the aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth left BAE Portsmouth, on route to the Scottish shipyard of Rosyth where the ship will be assembled. A hardy crowd of photographers and well wishers (including myself) braved the arctic April/May weather to see this massive structure off on it’s week long voyage. Quite a spectacular sight.
