A top night full of great ales, live music and laughter! Although a smaller incarnation than the previous Guildhall jobs, the Portsea Island Beer Festival was nonetheless a huge success attracting ale and cider lovers of all ages. Shep Woolley did a great job on providing the live folk music on Friday night and having the Groundlings Theatre as a venue was an excellent alternative to the Guildhall. In fact this was the first time I had visited the theatre and was certainly impressed by how much history is attached to the building. Nothing is better than to discover little gems like this in Portsmouth and Southsea, you think you know your city inside out yet suddenly…

What is quite obviously the Guildhall’s loss is now The Groundlings gain. Shout out to Irving & Co for making this happen.
