…and the winner is.

Remember the bunny competition? Thanks for all the cute, funny and imaginative names! The winner is Emma Downie who suggested Mr Peanut, well done Emma.

In other crafty news daughter of music legend Joe Strummer, Jazz Domino Holly, will be coming to Portsmouth. She is taking part in Portsmouth BookFest and will be at Aspex 18th of October talking about her book Queen of Crafts and plenty of crafting will be going on.

Jazz is a bit of a personal inspiration to me after she made the WI hip again by starting the Shoreditch Sisters, being a craft champion, feminist and environmentalist.

In a recent interview with the Telegraph:

Holly is on a mission to encourage young, 21st-century women to take up bodkins, secateurs and pastry brushes and use them to help create empowered modern identities. As she writes in Queen of Crafts: “Crafting is the perfect antidote to cookie-cutter mass-production, and gives us a means of expressing not only our individuality but also our originality in a handmade rebellion against passive consumption.”
