Ged Wells was the Isle of Wight’s best export back in the late 80s and early 90s when it came to skateboarding, streetwear and art. With an original, unique eye with both his skating and artwork and that channelled in to his Insane clothing label Ged quickly elevated himself to appearing in national magazines, clothing appearing on music and film stars and even opening a boutique store in London…all before the 90s really even got started.
Ged has placed on his Flickr an archive of artwork and photos related to the Insane clothing label and it is well worth a look through. Included in that collection are some photos of Ged skating Southsea Skatepark and ripping way ahead of his time, check this Stalefish Wallride way back in the mid 80s. Radness.
