Bens mum just sent us over these photos from 1953 of Janet Elizabeth Courtney working at the Skate Rink. She skated with a dance troupe called Skaterskades at Southsea Skating Rink at 16 years of age. Awesome stuff. Keep on sending us any information you have on the rink/park. We’re building up a nice little archive. I wonder if anyone has a copy of the Skaterskades leaflet/magazine Janet is holding?

I was in the 1958 production of skaterskates at the rink, have some photos which were used for advertaking, Ron Irving and Madge Grainger were the professionals.
