Durty Sound System & Civilisation Of The Rough, come together for one hell of a block party to raise money and awareness for ‘No More Durty Water’. FIVE rooms with The Six Million Dollar Man Club, Durty Fun Casino, and by public demand the return of Jim Barber’s Play Your Cards Right.
‘No More Durty Water‘ is a campaign to help provide safe and abundant water for the people of the world. Clean water is a basic human right and it is essential for the health of our species. Providing clean water is a simple task that the governments of this world have failed to achieve. Perhaps they don’t care? Unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation is detrimental in the fight against poverty, hunger & disease. The ‘No More Durty Water’ group have not taken up this challenge lightly and we will be working hard to clean up the world’s water for many years to come. Unable to rely those in power to provide clean water, it is up to us to come together, raise awareness and help those who need clean water to survive.
Project Uganda – We shall be working for the villages of Uganda in association with ‘Bridge of Hope Children’s Ministry’ http://bohcm.org. (Reg charity No-1126408) Our first target is for a ‘protected spring’ costing £1,200 which will provide fresh clean water for one village.
Expect full COR décor and sound system, as well as all of the 7 COR DJs to help you up to re-live the memories of COR party funtimes in that room from soirées gone by. Lets just hope the floor don’t give way this time! As if that’s not enough to get you up on the Block Party DF, also at the Vaults will be the wonderful The Six Million Dollar Man Club and the party organisers themselves Durty Sound System! On top of that there will be Southsea’s very own Jim ‘Brucey’ Barber hosting the now infamous ‘Play Your Cards Right’ in Vines (a proper good show, worth the ticket price alone!) as well as other gambling fun such as a fun casino and scalelectric (you will all be given funny money on your way in to the Block Party gamble with!) This is gonna be great bank holiday blow out …
Tickets are just £5 and ALL profit is going to the Bridge of Hope Children’s Ministry to provide clean water in Uganda. Tickets Available from The Wine Vaults and Head Hairdressing, 53 Albert Road (Just ask for Uncle Tim, he’ll sort you out). There will be tickets on the door on the night, but they will be in limited numbers. Last year this event sold out by 9:30 and this year is already looking to smash that!
